Detector Probes

Must have detector probes for measuring radio-active particulate pollution in air

A system for quantitative measurement of radio-activity comprises a detector probe and a counting unit. The detector probe comprises a basic detector or sensor which in response to each incident radiation, produces by itself or in conjunction with another device, an electronic signal (pulse or current) which is further processed to carry out the measurement.

Available Models:

Alpha Detector Probe Model PSI-ACD1
Beta Detector Probe Model PSI-BCD1
Gamma Detector Probe Model PSI-GCD1

Physical Design Highlights

All probes are designed to give very low background counts. All detectors are provided with drawer assemblies for easy insertion and removal of sampled filter papers and planchets. The alpha and gamma probes have protection against inadvertent exposure of Photomultiplier to ambient light.
