Halogens and Halides Sampling Equipment

Gaseous and particulate pollutants are withdrawn isokinetically from the source and collected on a filter and in absorbing solutions. The filter collects particulate matter including halide salts.

Acidic and alkaline absorbing solutions collect the gaseous hydrogen halides and halogens, respectively.

The collection components consist of two sets of glassware called the front half and the back half.

The front half comprises of a set of glass nozzles, a heated glass lined probe, front half of the filter holder with the filter.

The back half comprises back half of the filter holder, an insulated PTFE sample transport tube and a set of 5 or 6 glass impingers housed in an impinger box.

Halogens and Halides Sampling Equipment

Our PEM-HHS1-X contains all the components that are required to form the back half of the collection equipment.

We manufacture all the constituents of the front half glassware including glass nozzles, heated glass lined probe (model PEM-HGLP 3), a heated filter box (model PEM-HFB2), an insulated PTFE sample transport tube.

We also make the complete filter holder and supply the filter too.

PEM-HHS1-X in conjunction with these components, our Pitob assmebly comprising a Pitot Tube and K type thermocouple and one of the Control Modules PEM-SMK10 or PEM-SMK20 or PEM-SMS4 and a sampling pump module will form a complete halogens and halides sampling system.

PEM-HHS1-X can also be used as an add-on to an existing Method 5 isokinetic sampling system.
